Note
The income of the fund goes to a woman from Charlotte County "who needs financial
assistance with her university education" (AN 4.1: 3). In 1949, at $525 per annum, this
scholarship was considered among the most valuable of the undergraduate awards. Present day
value is $1,500/year for 4 years, and is awarded every four years.
