The Senate Minutes summarises "Their Majesties had been entertained at luncheon by
the Province of New Brunswick in Lady Beaverbrook's Building" (SM5 (10 Oct 1939): 177).
The President's Report states that the Dining Hall was placed at the Lieutenant-Governor's
disposal to serve luncheon subsequent to a reception at the Legislative Building. "The University
was thus honoured as one of the two Universities in Canada to be visited by Their Majesties on
their tour throughout Canada" (PR (28 Sep 1939) 40).
