Joseph Dolphin, General Manager of Canadian Cottons, presents the University with
$10,000 to be used for "industrial research approved by the Minister" (SM6 16).
18 Feb 1947: Senate Minutes indicate that the endowment was used for research in nutrition, and
that the corporation made an additional donation of $2,500 for "such purposes as the University
may determine" (SM6 63).
